In the spring of 2020, early in Covid, I did not pursue overt pandemic-related subject matter. Rather, I walked around my neighborhood and tried to find the beauty within. I was not disappointed, finding interesting objects and features that I had not noticed in the past.  Maybe my neighborhood photos were more telling than I intended.  A stuffed animal in a window is part of a local effort to distract children walking with their parents, a common activity since team sports, playgrounds, and parks were mostly off limits. A cigar in the empty glass was forgotten by a neighbor before he and his family decamped to the country. Home exteriors show shadows cast by large tree limbs., limbs that seem to imprison or maybe even suffocate the occupants. Constrictions felt by all.
