Several years ago I was taking a photography class and needed a subject for a project. I approached the conductor of the Wellesley (MA) Symphony Orchestra and asked if the orchestra might be interested in having me photograph them. In exchange for them allowing me to photograph rehearsals, I would give them them the photographs, which they could then use for programs, their website, marketing, and so on. After I spoke with the symphony’s long-time photographer, who was looking for some help, the president of the orchestra accepted my proposal. I have enjoyed photographing them, and recent concert photographs are in this section. I have a similar agreement with the Boston Civic Symphony, and photographs from their recent concerts are also here. In addition, I have selected various photographs that show the connection between musicians and their instruments.
